2020 has in many ways been a challenging year, and it's times like these that make us grateful for our families, our health, and our brilliant team here at KYMIRA. We've managed to make this year a productive one and despite everything we've been more determined than ever to keep bringing life-changing technologies to market and to keep striving for progress.
Even better, it seems that our efforts haven't gone unnoticed – so below is a selection of some of the more official achievements and accolades that Tim and Team KYMIRA have been nominated for or won this year so far.
We'd like to also say a huge thanks for everyone that's nominated us, voted for us, and supported us in any way this year. All the support ultimately goes towards us realising our mission through innovation, ultimately making a difference to countless lives.

KYMIRA AWARDS (2020):
1) IOD – Nomination
We're thrilled to announce that our own Tim Brownstone (Founder & CEO) has been nominated as Director of the Year for the Institute of Directors 2020 (London and South), in the Innovation category.
The Institute of Directors (IoD) was founded in 1903, and their Director of the Year awards are an extremely important manifestation of their royal charter to support, represent and set standards for business leaders nationwide. The yearly awards also aim to represent and develop directors through the motto ‘Better directors build a better world.'
Winners are due to be announced on the 11th September, good luck to all nominated!
2) Thames Valley Tech – Nominations
We've been nominated for 5 categories this year by Thames Valley Tech. We couldn't be more thrilled or proud of the team.
Of the nominations, KYMIRA's CTO Phil Kunovski said:
"It was amazing to learn that we were nominated for a staggering 5 different TVT awards… Just wow! Very happy with the news, and a massive well done to the KYMIRA team!"

Must have produced an outstanding, successful tech innovation (or series of them) in the past 12-18 months.
- Science & Technology Award (Sponsored by Blake Morgan) – Nomination
The winner will be building its reputation and earned recognition for its truly innovative work across their field.
- Thames Valley Tech Company (Sponsored by BDO) – Nomination
Based on the achievements of the company in innovation, sales and profitability, product development and/or contribution to the sector –the overall ‘Thames Valley Tech Company'.
- Tech Leadership Team (Sponsored by LDC) – Nomination
The winning management team will be innovative, game-changing, and agile, and will have a focus on building the brand and the financials.
- Tech SME of the Year (Sponsored by Crowe) – Nomination
Specifically, this celebrates SMEs that are forging new paths and, through new concepts and/or products, are standing out from the crowd.
3) Barclays Eagle Labs
KYMIRA was part of the Eagle Labs project run by Barclays to support entrepreneurship, and Tim was part of the Health Tech Eagle Lab in the region. The Barclays Eagle Labs aim to drive digital skills development and help grow the economy through innovation and change, by creating a platform to connect the UK's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Of the nominations, KYMIRA Founder and CEO Tim Brownstone said:
"With the support of the regional business banking team at Barclays, alongside the Healthcare Eagle Labs team and community, KYMIRA have taken big steps forwards since we first started working with them back in 2018. To be nominated for the Eagle Labs innovation award is a huge achievement for the team and I at KYMIRA and we can't wait to keep showing the world why we are worthy of the recognition!"
