We are very proud to announce that last week, our founder and CEO, Tim Brownstone, has won the Great British Entrepreneur Award 2021! Considering the almost 5,000 applications, this is a huge achievement for Tim and KYMIRA®!
In August this year, Tim was shortlisted to be a finalist in the "Scale-up Entrepreneur of the Year" category. Last week, Tim was able to stand out from the 660 finalists, the highest number since the existence of the Awards, which is another reason why we're are very proud of our CEO!
We‘re happy the jury of young leaders from various business backgrounds recognised Tim's efforts of growing KYMIRA® effectively and steering stirring the business in the right direction to tackle new arising challenges successfully. After five years of extensive research, Tim started KYMIRA® in 2013 from a Reading University lab. Since then, the company has been continuously growing and after only eight years, it's now one of the world's leading e-textile companies, working in the medical and sports sectors.
Tim is very honoured to win this year's award, which he states is not only an award to him but to the whole KYMIRA® team.
